A figure is in the form of a quadrilateral ABCD its area is 165cm square.find the length of the perpandicular drawn from D on Ac is Ac = 15cmand length of perpandicular from B on Ac is 12cm

area of ∆ABC=½×AC×(length of perpendicular from B on AC )
=½×12×15 cm square
=90 cm square
total area of quadrilateral=165 cm^2
=∆ABC+∆ACD
now area of ∆ACD=165-90
=75
=1/2(AC× the length of the perpendicular drawn from D on AC)
or, the length of the perpandicular drawn from D on AC) =(2×75)/AC
=150/15
=10 cm.
