A figure os in the form of a quadrilateral ABCD. its area is 175 cm2 . find the length of the perpendicular drawn from D on AC if AC =15cm and length of perpendicular from B on AC is 12 cm.​

Answer:

area of ∆ABC=½×AC×(length of perpendicular from B on AC )

=½×12×15 cm square

=90 cm square

total area of quadrilateral=165 cm^2

=∆ABC+∆ACD

now area of ∆ACD=165-90

=75

=1/2(AC× the length of the perpendicular drawn from D on AC)

or, the length of the perpandicular drawn from D on AC) =(2×75)/AC

=150/15

=10 cm.
