MnSO 4 ; x−2=0;x=+2

MnO 2 ; x+2(−2)=0;x=+4

Mn 3O 4 ; 3x+4(−2)=0;x= 8/3

The oxidation number of Mn in KMnO4 , K2MnO4 , MnSO4 , MnO2 and Mn3O 4is +7,+6,+2,+4 and + 8/3 respectively.
