Given :

  • Height of Cylinder is 2.1 cm .
  • Radius of Cylinder is 6 cm .

To Find :

  • Curved Surface Area of Cylinder .
  • Volume of Cylinder .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Height=2.1\:cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Radius=6\:cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{C.S.A\:of\:Cylinder=2\pi{rh}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{2\times\dfrac{22}{{\cancel{7}}}\times{6}\times\dfrac{{\cancel{21}}}{10}}

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{44\times{18}}{10}}

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{792}{10}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{79.2\:{cm}^{2}}

So , The Curved Surface Area of Cylinder is 79.2 cm² .

Now ,

For Volume of Cylinder :

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Volume\:of\:Cylinder=\pi{{r}^{2}h}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{22}{{\cancel{7}}}\times{6}\times{6}\times\dfrac{{\cancel{21}}}{10}}

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{22\times{36}\times{3}}{10}}

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{2376}{10}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{237.6\:{cm}^{3}}

So , The Volume of Cylinder is 237.6 cm³ .

Answer:

Given :-

  • A right circular cylinder of height 2.1 cm and base radius is 6 cm.

To Find :-

  • What is the volume and curved surface area of a right circular cylinder.

Formula Used :-

To find volume of right circular cylinder we know that,

\boxed{\bold{\small{Volume\: of\: cylinder\: =\: {\pi}{r}^{2}h}}}

To find curved surface area of a cylinder we know that,

\boxed{\bold{\small{Curved\: Surface\: Area\: of\: cylinder\: =\: 2{\pi}rh}}}

where,

  • r = Radius
  • h = Height

Solution :-

Given :

  • Radius = 6 cm
  • Height = 2.1 cm

To find volume of a cylinder,

⇒ Volume of cylinder = \dfrac{22}{7} \times {(6)}^{2} \times 2.1

⇒ Volume of cylinder = \dfrac{22}{7} \times 36 \times 2.1

⇒ Volume of cylinder = \dfrac{22}{7} \times 75.6

Volume of cylinder = 237.6 cm³

\therefore The volume of right circular cylinder is 237.6 cm³ .

To find curved surface area of a cylinder,

↦ C.S.A of cylinder = 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 6 \times 2.1

↦ C.S.A of cylinder = 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 12.6

↦ C.S.A of cylinder = 2 \times 39.6

C.S.A of cylinder = 79.2 cm²

\therefore The curved surface area of a right circular cylinder is 79.2 cm² .
