Answer:

(i)solve :- let the two no. be x and y

given :- x+y=48 and x-y=10

(x+y)+(x-y)=48+10

x+y+x-y=58

2x=58

x=58÷2

x=29 answer

29+y=48

y=48-29

y=19 answer

so, the two no. will be 29 and 19

solve 2nd question through this solution

the answer will be 21 and 13 .

Hope it will be helpful

Step-by-step explanation:

a. sum of two numbers =48

difference between them =10

let one number be x

second number =x+10

so, x+x+10 =48

2x+10 =48

2x =48-10

2x =38

x=38/2

x=19

one number =x

=19

second number =x+10

=19+10

=29

b. sum of two numbers =34

difference between them =8

let one number =x

second number =x+8

so,

x+x+8=34

2x+8=34

2x=34-8

2x=26

x=26/2

x=13

one number =x

=13

second number =x+8

=13+8

=21
