Answer:

Given:

V=0

g=9.8m/s²

h=1000m

U=?

So, V²-U²=2gh

= (-U)²=2×-9.8×1000

= (-U)²= -19600

= U=14m/s

2) Now, v=u+gt

u+gt=o

14-9.8t=o

-9.8t=-(14)

t=14/9.8

t=1.4s

Therefore the velocity with which it was released=14m/s

and the time taken to reach at the highest point=1.4s
