Answer : The half life of the reaction is, 1.26\times 10^{13}s

Solution : Given,

Rate constant = 5.5\times 10^{-14}s^{-1}

Relation between the rate constant and the half life of the reaction is,

t_{1/2}=\frac{0.693}{k}

where,

t_{1/2} = half life of the reaction

k = rate constant of the reaction

Now put all the given values in the above relation, we get

t_{1/2}=\frac{0.693}{5.5\times 10^{-14}s^{-1}}

t_{1/2}=1.26\times 10^{13}s

Therefore, the half life of the reaction is, 1.26\times 10^{13}s
