Given data : A fish tank takes 13.5 minutes to fill at a rate of 1.2 liters per minute.

Solution : To find the time taken by the fish tank when it will be filled with 5.4 liters per minute ;

Firstly we have to find out the capacity of fish tank.

Now,

⟹ speed = capacity/time taken

⟹ 1.2 = capacity/13.5

⟹ capacity = 1.2 * 13.5

⟹ capacity = 16.2 liters

Capacity of the fish tank is 16.2 liters.

Now, speed is 5.2 litres per minute.

⟹ speed = capacity/time taken

⟹ 5.2 = 16.2/time taken

⟹ time taken = 16.2/5.2

⟹ time taken = 3.11 minutes

Answer : It takes 3.11 minutes to fill the fish tank at the rate of 5.2 liters per minute.
