Fish Bending A Fishing Pole

Answer:  the fish of mass of 2 kg will cause a fishing pole to bend  6 cm .

Explanation:

Given that A fish of 3 kg causes a  fishing pole to bend 9 cm.

Amount of bending varies directly as mass.

Need to determine how much will the pole bend for 2 kg fish

Centimeters of bend for 3 kg fish = 9 cm

And as it is given that bending varies directly as mass.

⇒ Centimeters of bend for 1 kg fish = 9/3 cm = 3cm

And Centimeters of bend for 2 kg fish = 2 × Centimeters of bend for 1 kg fish = 2 × 3 cm = 6 cm

Hence the fish of mass of 2 kg will cause bend of 6 cm.
