A fixed volume of a gas occupies 650cm cube at 35 degree Celsius and 90cm of Hg. What will be the volume at s.t.p.​

The fixed volume of gas occupies 760cm3 at 27°C and 70 cm of Hg.

p1 = 70 Cm Og Hg

V1 = 760 Cm3

T1 = 27° C

Pg = 76 cm of Hg

T2 = 273 K

Using the gas equation :-

P1 V1 / T1 = P2 V2 / T2

70 × 760 / 300 = 76 × V2 / 273

V2 = 70 × 760 × 273 / 300 × 76

= 637 cm 3
