A flag pole 4m tall casts a 6m shadow. At the same time, a nearby building casts a shadow of 24m. How tall is the building?

A shadow of 6m is casted upon by a flag pole of 4m.

So, to cast a shadow of 1m the height has to be 6÷4m=3/2m

Hence, to cast a shadow of 24m the height of the building has to be (3/2)*24m= 36m.

Thus, the height of the building is 36m.
