a flag pole 4m tall casts a 6m shadow. at the same time ,a nearby building casts a shadow of 24m. how tall is the building?

in both triangles ab=4,bc=6 and ef=24

angle b=e

a=d, corresponding angles

c=f

by aaa rule triangle abc and def are similar

then there sides will be in proportion

ab/de =bc=ef that is equal to 4/x =6/24=16

the height of building is 16 m
