Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Ab be the flag staff=h BC be the height of tower. CD is the base

Height of tower=12m let base CD=x

To find the height of the flag staff

In triangle BCD

Tan30 degree=BC/CD

1/root3=12/x

X=12root3

Now, in triangle ACD

Tan 45 degree = 12+h/x

1=12+h/12root3

12root3=12+h

12root3-12=h

12(root3-1)=h

Height of flag staff =12(root3-1)metre

HOPE IT IS HELPFUL

Answer = 12(_/3-1)m

>given=angles of elevation and height of tower.

>we first have to find the base length i.e BC by applying tan30°, which will come as BC=12root3 or 12_/3 meters.

>then we apply tan 45°which will come as tan45°=AC/BC (where AC=h+12)

>we obtain h as 12(_/3-1).
