Given : A floor has a pattern where every 3rd tile has a black flower and every 4th tile has  white flower.

To Find :  the first 4 positions of tiles that would have both black and white flowers

Solution:

Every 3rd tile = black flower

Every 4th tile has white flower

as 3 and 4 are co prime

Hence every 3 * 4 =  12th tile  will have  both black and white flowers

Hence 12th , 24th , 36th and 48th   will be   first 4 positions of tiles that would have both black and white flowers
