HEY

HERE IS ANSWER

Question -
A floor is 10 m long and 6 m wide. A square carpet of side 5 m is laid on the floor . Find the area of the floor not carpeted

Now
Solution -

Given

length of floor=10m

breadth of floor=6m

and

side of square=5m

hence

area of floor= length*breadth

= 10*6

= 60m^2

now

area of square= side*side

= 5*5

=25m^2

now

the area of floor uncarpated= area of floor- area of carpet

= 60-25

= 35m^2

Hey\:!!..

The answer goes here....

_______________________________________

》To find -

The area of floor not carpeted.

》Given -

Length of floor = 10\:m

Width of floor = 6\:m

Side of carpet = 5\:m

》Solution -

In order to find out the area of floor not carpeted, we need to first find the area of the floor and then subtract the area of carpet from it.

So, area of floor -

l\times w

10\times 6

60\:{m}^{2}

So, the area of the floor is 60\:{m}^{2} .

Now, area of carpet -

a\times a

5\times 5

25\:{m}^{2}

So, the area of the floor is 25\:{m}^{2}.

Now, area of floor not carpeted -

⇒ area of floor - area of carpet

60-25

35\:{m}^{2}

So, the area of floor not carpeted is 35\:{m}^{2} .
