Area of the floor = 40m × 15m

= 600 m²

Area of a tile = 60cm × 50cm

= 0.6m × 0.5m

= 0.3 m²

Number of tiles required = \rm\frac{Area\: of\:the\: floor}{Area\:of \:a \:tile}

= \rm\frac{600 m^2}{0.3 m^2}

= 200 tiles
