A floor is 40 m long and 15 m broad it is covered with tiles each measuring 60cm by 50cm find number of tiles required to cover the floor

area of the floor = 40 x 15 = 600 m
area of one tile = 60 x 50 =3000 cm=30 m
no of tiles required to cover the floor = area of the floor/ area of a single tile
=600/30=20 tiles
