a floor is 40 m long and 15m broad it is covered with tiles each measuring 60 CM by 15 cm find the number of tiles required to cover the floor

No . of tiles = Area of floor ÷ Area of a tile

                 = (40 x 100 x 15 x 100) / (60 x 15 )

                = 6667 approx.
