Answer:

Given :

Length of the floor is 5m

The breadth of the floor is 4m

So, ( applying ar. l×b )

ar. of floor =4m×5m=20m² . Side of the carpet is 3m.

So, (applying ar. of sq. =side×side(s))

area of carpet=3m×3m=9m².

To find the area of the floor that is not carpeted or (uncarpeted) we will (−) minus the ar. of the floor from ar. of carpet

area which is not carpeted or( uncarpeted ) =20m² −9m²

=11m².

Hence, answer Is 11m².

Answer:

11m is  carpeted

Step-by-step explanation: area of room = l x b = 5 x 4

                                                     =20

  area of carpet = 3 x 3

                         = 9m

                        = 20 - 9

                             = 11
