Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the floor is 5m

The breadth of the floor is 4m

So, ( applying ar. l×b )

ar. of floor =4m×5m=20m²

. Side of the carpet is 3m

So, (applying ar. of sq. =side×side(s))

area of carpet=3m×3m=9m² .

To find the area of the floor that is not carpeted or (uncarpeted) we will (−) minus the ar. of the floor from ar. of carpet

area which is not carpeted or( uncarpeted ) =20m² −9m²

=11m² .

Hence, answer Is 11m² .

Answer:

Length of floor is 5m

Breadth of the floor is 4m

So, ( applying ar. l × b )

ar. of floor =4m×5m=20m2. Side of the carpet is 3m

So, (applying ar. of sq. = side × side (s) )

area of carpet=3m×3m=9m2.

To find the area of the floor that is not carpeted or (uncarpeted) we will (-) minus the ar. of floor from ar. of carpet

area which is not carpeted or( uncarpeted ) =20m2-9m2

=11m2.

Hence,the ans. Is 11m sq.
