  • Length of Floor = 5cm
  • Breadth of Floor = 4cm

Area of Floor = length × breadth

=> 4m × 5m = 20cm²

  • Side of carpet = 3.5cm

Area of carpet = side × side [side²]

=> 3.5cm × 3.5cm = 12.25cm²

  • To find area of floor which is not carpeted,

Area of uncarpeted = 20cm² - 12.25cm²

=> 7.75cm²
