Here we have to find the perimeter of the floor.

We are given that the length of the floor is 5 m and breadth is 4 m.

From the above information, we conclude that the floor is rectangular.

Therefore, we will use the formula of the perimeter of a rectangle.

Perimeter= 2 ( l + b )

               =2 ( 5 + 4 )

               = 2 ( 9 )

              = 18 m

Hence, the perimeter of the floor will be 18 m

As per data given in the question,

We have to determine the value of perimeter of floor.

As per question,

We have,

length = 5\:m

Width = 4\:m

As we know that,

Perimeter of any surface is the the sum of length of outer border of the surface.

So, applying the formula,

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

So, putting the value, We will get it as,

Perimeter = 2(5+4)\\=>Perimeter = 2\times 9 \:m\\Perimeter = 18\:m

Hence, perimeter of the floor will be 18 m.
