A floor is 5m long and 6m wide . a square carpet of sides 4m is laid on the floor. Find the area of the floor that is not carpeted

Answer:

Total area=lb

=6*5

=30sq.m

Area of carpet =a*a

=4*4

=16sq.m

Remaining area of the room =30-16

=14sq.m
