(5×4) - (3×3)
= 20 - 9
= 11

area of floor= length×breadth
and area of carpet =a^2.(a=side of square carpet)
area of the floor not carpeted = area of floor-area of carpet
so 5×4-3×3=20-9= 11
the area of the floor not carpeted is 11m
