Solutions :-

Given :
Length of floor = 6 m
Breadth = 3 m

Length of carpet = 3.5 m
Breadth = 2 m

Find the area of the floor that is not carpeted :-

= Area of floor - Area of carpet
= {(6 × 3) - (3.5 × 2)} m²
= {18 - 7} m²
= 11 m²

Hence,
The area of the floor that is not carpeted = 11 m²

Solutions :-

We have,
Length of floor = 6 m
Breadth = 3 m

Area of floor = (Length × Breadth) sq. units
= (6 × 3) m²
= 18 m²

Now,
Length of carpet = 3.5 m
Breadth = 2 m

Area of carpet = (Length × Breadth) sq. units
= (3.5 × 2) m²
= 7 m²

The area of the floor that is not carpeted = Area of floor - Area of carpet
= (18 - 7) m²
= 11 m²

Answer : 11 m² of the floor that is not carpeted.
