A floor is 6m long and 4m wide a square carpet of side 4m is laid on the floor. Find the area of the floor that is not capeted?

Length of the floor is 5m

The breadth of the floor is 4m

So, ( applying ar. l×b )

ar. of floor =4m×5m=20m

. Side of the carpet is 3m

So, (applying ar. of sq. =side×side(s))

area of carpet=3m×3m=9m
