For floor:

length = 6 m

breadth = 5 m

area of the floor = length × breadth

= 6 × 5

= 30 m²

For carpet:

side = 3 m

area of the carpet = side× side

= 3 × 3

= 9 m²

Now, we have to find out the area of the floor that is not carpeted

area that is not the = area of floor - area of carpet

= 30 - 9

= 21 m²

Hence, the area that is not carpeted is 21 m²
