Answer:

16sq.m

Step-by-step explanation:

first find the area of the floor

l=8m

b=4m

therefore area of floor = l×b=8×4=32sq.m

now area of floor that is carpeted

l=4m

therefore area of floor that is carpeted = 4×4=16sq.m

now,area that is not carpeted = area of floor -area of floor carpeted

i.e= 32sq.m-16sq.m

=> 16sq.m

Answer:

area of the floor= length × breadth

8×3=24 metre square

area of the carpet which is square in shape=4×4=16 metre square

area of uncarpeted floor= 24-16=8 metre square
