Area of the floor =lengthxbreadth= 9 x 6 = 54m²

side of the square carpet = 4m

Area of the square carpet = side x side = 4 x 4 = 16m²

Area of the floor that is not carpeted=54 - 16 = 38m²

so, the area of the floor which is not carpeted is 38m²
