A floor is made up of 45 rhombus shaped and 70 trapezium shaped tiles. The diagonals of each rhombus are 4.8 m and 1.9 m. The parallel sides of each trapezium are 2.4m and 3.6 m and distance between
them is 0.4 m. Find the cost of putting the carpet on floor
at the rate of 55 per m2.

Answer:

I hope it will help you.

Step-by-step explanation:

First we find the surface area of floor.

Area of rhombus = 1/2* product of it's diagonals

=1/2 * 4.8 * 1.9 = 4.56 m^2

Area of trapezium = 1/2*(sum of parallel side)*

distance between parallel side

=1/2 * (2.4+3.6) * 0.4

= 1.2 m^2

Area of floor = (45 * 4.56) + (70 * 1.2)

=205.2+84

289.2 m^2

required carpet to be purchase = 289 m^2

Total cost = 289.2 * 55

=15906
