a floor is6m long 5m wide . a square carpet of side 4m is laid on the floor. find the area not to br carpeted

area of floor= area of a rectangle
A=length*breadth
A=6*5
A=30m^2

area of carpet=area of square
A=side*side
A=4*4
A=16m^2

the area left
area of floor- area of carpet
30-16=14m^2

Down here, ⏬

☆ First, we wanna find out area of floor and then subtract it from square carpet's area.

☆ Area of floor = Area of Rectangle
= l×b = 6×5 = 30 m^2

☆ Area of square = side×side
= 4×4 = 16 m^2

☆ Area not be carpeted = 30-16 = 14 m^2
