Answer :-

 \: \\ \large{\underline{\underline{\sf{Firstly\; let's\; understand\; the \; concept \; used\; :-}}}}

Here the concept of Areas of Parallelogram has been used. We are given that some number of tiles have to paved and each tile is of same dimensions. So, firstly we will calculate the area of one tile and then multiply it with the number of tiles. Then for finding total cost, we will multiply the area with the rate.

Let's do it  !!

Question :-

A floor of a building is to be paved with 210 tiles which tiles is in the shape of a parallelogram of height 4.2 cm and base 3 cm. Find the cost of paving the tiles at rupees 2.50 per sq. cm.

★ Solution :-

Given,

» Number of tiles required = 210

» Height of each tile = 4.2 cm

» Base of each tile = 3 cm

» Rate of paving in per cm² =  Rs. 2.50

~ For the Area of Each Tile :-

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \;\;\: Areas\; of \; Parallelogram_{(Tile)} \; = \: \; \bf{Base_{(Tile)}\: \times \: Height_{(Tile)}}}}

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \;\;\: Areas\; of \; Parallelogram_{(Tile)} \; = \: \; \bf{ 3 \: \times \: 4.2}}}

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \;\;\: Areas\; of \; Parallelogram_{(Tile)} \; = \: \; \bf{\: 3 \: \times \: 4.2\: \; = \: \underline{\underline{12.6\;\; cm^{2}}}}}}

 \: \\ \large{\boxed{\boxed{\tt{Area\:\;of\:\;each\;\:tile\:\; = \:\; \bf{12.6\;\;cm^{2}}}}}}

~ For the Area to be Paved :-

 \: \\ \qquad  \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \:\;\; Area\; to \; be \; paved \; with \; tiles \; \: = \; \bf{Number \; of \; Tiles \; \times \; Area\; of \; Each \; Tile_{(in\;m^{2})}}}}

 \: \\ \qquad  \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \:\;\; Area\; to \; be \; paved \; with \; tiles \; \: = \; \bf{210 \; \times \; 12.6\: \: = \: \: \underline{\underline{2646\;\; cm^{2}}}}}}

 \: \\ \large{\boxed{\boxed{\tt{Area\:\;of\:\;floor\;\:to\:\;be\:\;paved\;\: = \:\; \bf{2646\;\;cm^{2}}}}}}

~ For Total Cost of Paving the floor :-

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\Longrightarrow \;\;\;Total\;cost\;of\;Paving\;the\;floor\;with\;tiles\; \; = \; \; \bf{Area\;to\;be\;paved_{(in\;m^{2})}\;\times\;Rate_{(in\;per\;m^{2})}}}}

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\Longrightarrow \;\;\;Total\;cost\;of\;Paving\;the\;floor\;with\;tiles\; \; = \; \; \bf{2646\;\times\;2.50 \: \; = \: \; \underline{\underline{Rs.\;6615}}}}}

 \: \\ \large{\underline{\underline{\rm{Thus,\;total\;cost\;of\;paving\;the\;floor\;is\;\;\boxed{\bf{Rs.\;\:6615}}}}}}

Area of Triangle =  ½ × Base × Height

Area of Square = (Side)²

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

Area of Circle = πr²

Perimeter of Circle = 2πr

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

Perimeter of Square = 4 × Side

Given,

A floor of a building is to be paved with 210 tiles which tiles is in the shape of a parallelogram of height 4.2 cm and base 3 cm.

To find :

Find the cost of paving the tiles at rupees 2.50 per square cm .

Solution :

Dimensions of parallelogram = 4.2 cm * 3 cm

∴ Area of parallelogram = Base * Height

⇒ Area of parallelogram = 4.2 * 3

Area of parallelogram = 12.6 cm²

Now there are 210 tiles.

⇒ Area of 210 tiles = 12.6 * 210

Area of 210 tiles = 2646 cm²

Now rate given as Rs. 2.5/cm²

⇒ Cost of paving = Area * Rate

⇒ Cost of paving = 2646 * 2.5

Cost of paving = Rs. 6615

Therefore,

Cost of paving the tiles = Rs. 6615
