A floor of the room is 8 m long and 6 m wide is to be covered by square tiles. if each square tile is 0.8 m. find the number of tiles required to cover the floor . Also find the cost of tiling at the rate of Rupees 12 per tile

No. of tiles = Area of floor/Area of tiles
=(8×6)/(0.8)^2
=(8×6)/(0.8×0.8)
=(8×6×10×10)/(8×8)
=75 tiles
Rate =12/tile
Cost =Rate ×No. of tiles
=12/tile × 75 tile
=900
