Area of the tile = 25 cm sq.

Area of the floor of the room
= length × breadth
= 14m ×12m
= 1400 cm × 1200 cm
= 1680000 cm sq.

Number of tiles needed to cover the floor
= Area of floor/area of tile
= 1680000/25
= 67200
-------------------------------------------
Hence 67200 tiles are needed.
