a floor tile has the shape of a parallelogram whose base is 24 cm and corresponding height is 10 centimetre how many such tiles are required to cover a Floor of area 1080 metre square

45000 tiles I think is the answer

Mristi: listen frst find area of parallelogram i.e b*h =24*10=240cm square=24/1000m square then divide the area of floor by area of parallelogram i.e 1080/24/1000=45000

area of parallelogram =
 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \:  \times height \:  \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times 24 \times 10 \\ 120cm  \\   1080  \div 120 =  \\ 9
