let the perpendicular be x

hyportenuse^2=√p^2+b^2

10^2=√6^2+x^2

100=√36+x^2

√100-36=x^2

√66=x^2

8=x

NOW,

area of 1 tile=1/2×b×h

=1/2×6×8

=24

no. of tiles=are of floor/are of tiles=1296/24=54
