Given :-

  • Base of parallelogram = 24 cm
  • Height of parallelogram = 10 cm

To find :-

♦ Number of tiles that can be fitted to a floor of 1080 m²

Method :-

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height

➥ Area of parallelogram = 24 cm × 10 cm

Area of parallelogram = 240 cm²

Now, let's convert 1080 m² to cm²

➳ 1080 m²

➝ 1080 m × m

➞ 1080 × 100 cm × 100 cm [Since 1 m = 100 cm]

➝ 10800000 cm²

Number of tiles = (Area of floor) ÷ (Area of 1 tile)

⇒ Number of tiles = 10800000 ÷ 240

Number of tiles = 45000

So, 45000 tiles are needed to a floor of 1080 m²
