A floor which measures 15 m by 8 metre is to be laid with tiles measuring 50 cm by 25 cm find the number of tiles required for the if a carpet is laid on the floor so that space of 1m exist between its edge and the edge of a floor what fraction of the floor is uncovered​

no. of tiles = area of floor / area of one tile
area of floor is 15*8= 120m
area of one tile in meter 0.5 * 0.25= 0.125m
no. of tiles is 120/0.125=960
