A floor which measures 15m × 8m is to be laid with tiles measuring 50cm × 25cm . Find the number of tiles required . Further , if a carpet is laid on the floor so that the space of 1m exists in between its edges of the floor , what fraction of the floor is uncovered ?

1500.800/25.50 (converted into cm)

after simplifying

tiles required=1280

the number of tiles required are 960 and the fraction of floor uncovered is 7/20
