Base of parallelogram shaped tiles= 24 cm

we have to change 24 cm to m = 24cm=0.24m

height = 10cm

0.10cm

area of parallelogram= b×h

=0.24×0.10=0.024m²

area of floor 2018m²

no of tiles required to cover floor = area of floor/ area of one tiles

2018/0.024

Answer:

45000 tiles are required to cover the floor.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Base of flooring tile = 24 cm = 24/100 m = 0.24 m

Corresponding height of a flooring tile = 10 cm = 19/100 m = 0.10 m

Now Area of flooring tile = Base * Altitude = 0.24 * 0.10 = 0.024 m^2

Number of tiles required to cover the floor = Area of floor/Area of one tile

                                                                             = 1080/0.024

                                                                             = (1080 * 1000)/24

                                                                             = 45 * 1000

                                                                             = 45000 tiles

Hence 45000 tiles are required to cover the floor.
