a=9cm, b= 28cm, c= 35cm
so it's semi perimeter(s) will be
s= a+b+c/2 = 9+28+35/2=72/2=36cm
9+28+35/2=72/2=36cm
using Heron's formula
Area=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)
= √36(36-9)(36-28)(36-35)
= √36(27)(8)(1)
=√6×6×3×3×3×2×2×2×1
=6×3×2√3×2×1
=36√6
therefore area of one tile = 36√6cm² (or you can write 36√6 as 88.2cm²)
area of one tile = 36√6cm² or 88.2 cm²
area of 16 tiles = 16 × 88.2 = 1411.2 cm²
cost of polishing the tiles at the rate of 50 paise per cm² will be:
=1411.2×0.50 ( 50 paise = 0.50 rupees)
=Rs. 705.60
therefore Rs.705.60 is the answer.
