Answer:

Total number of tiles = 280 tiles

Height of parallelogram = 3 cm

Breadth of parallelogram = 5 cm

∴ Area of one parallelogram tile = b x h

                                                     = 5 x 3

                                                     = 15 cm²

∴ Area of 280 tiles = 15 cm² × 280

                               = 4200 cm²

Cost of polishing the tiles = 50 paise per cm²

∴ Total cost of polishing = 50 × 4200 cm²

                                        = 210000 paise

100 paise = 1 rupee

∴ 210000 paise = 210000/100

                          = 2100 Rupees

∴ Cost of polishing the tiles = 2100 Rupees

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of each tile =5×3=15cm'2

=280×15=4200

Cost of polishing the floor=50×4200=210000rupees

=210000÷100=2100 paise per cm
