A florist had 400 flowers in his shop he sold one upon 10 of them in the morning out of the remaining flowers one upon three was sold in the evening 11 upon 6 of the remaining flowers were withered and could not be sold find the total flowers sold and flowers left

Answer:

total no. of flowers=400

no. of flowers sold in morning = 1/10×400

=40

no. of flowers sold in evening = 1/3×360

=120

no. of flowers withered = 1*/6×240

=40

no. of flowers sold = 160

no. of flowers left = 160

* it can't be 11/6 otherwise it will exceed the total no. of flowers which is not possible i.e 11/6×240= 440
