A flower store sold 2,450 flowers in a month. If 60% of the flowers the store sold were roses, how many roses did the store sell in the month?

GIVEN :

Total no. of flowers sold in a month = 2450
Sell of Roses = 60 % of total flowers in a month

TO FIND :

No . of roses sold in a month = ?

SOLUTION :

No of roses = 60% of total roses
sold in a month
 =  \frac{60}{100}  \times 2450 \\  = 6 \times 245 \\  = 1470
Hence ,
Total no. of roses sold in that month were 1470.
