Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Kinetic energy = 484 J

● Explaination -

# Given -

m = 72 kg

r = 50 cm = 0.5 m

f = 70 rpm = 70/60 Hz

# Solution -

Kinetic energy of the fly wheel is -

Kinetic energy = 1/2 mv^2

Kinetic energy = 1/2 × m × (r × 2πf)^2

Kinetic energy = 1/2 × 72 × (0.5 × 2 × 22/7 × 70/60)^2

Kinetic energy = 36 × (11/3)^2

Kinetic energy = 484 J

Hence, kinetic energy of the fly wheel is 484 J.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
