Given info : a flywheel makes 600 rpm.

We have to find the angular speed and the linear speed of a point 5cm from the centre of wheel.

solution : angular speed is the angular displacement covered by particle with respect to time.

I.e., ω = dθ/dt

here, flywheel makes 600 rpm.

so, angular speed at any point, ω = 600 × 2π rad/s = 1200π rad/s

Linear speed of a point 5cm from the centre of wheel is given by, v = ωr

= 1200π rad/s × 5cm

= 60π m/s

Therefore angular speed at any point is 1200π rad/s and linear speed of a point 5cm from the centre of wheel is 60π m/s.
