A food stall owner was preparing dough for making bhaturas. He added a pinch of
yeast and sugar to the dough and left it in a warm place. After a few hours, the dough
had risen up. There was a sour smell too.

A.) Bread rises because yeast eats sugar and burps carbon dioxide, which gets trapped by the bread's gluten. The more sugar your yeast eats, the more gas that gets formed, and the higher the bread rises!
