9600 yd² = 12000 pounds of fertiliser

Find 1 yd²

1 yd² = 12000 ÷ 9600

1 yd² = 1.25 pounds

Find 3600 yd²:

1 yd² = 1.25 pounds

3600 yd² = 1.25 x 3600 = 4500 pounds

Answer: There is a total of 4500 pounds of fertiliser spread in an area of 3600 yd²

1200 pounds of fertilizer required for 9600 sq. yards.

=> 1 sq. yard requires 1200/9600 = 1/8 pounds of fertilizer

3600 sq. yards would require : 3600 * 1/8 = 3600/8 = 450 pounds -
