in the given question, the mass of the football is 0.5 kg. The initial velocity give is 10 m/seconds.

Therefore accordingly, the initial momentum of the ball is given by mass x initial velocity, i.e., 10 x 0.5 = 5kgm/sec. now the final velocity is -20 m/seconds.

Therefore final momentum is mass x final velocity, i.e., 0.5 x -20 = -10 kgm/sec. impulse = 5- (-10)= 15 kgm/s, and force = 15/0/02= 750 N
