A football team won 120 matches out of the total number of matches they played .If the percentage of matches won is 45 , then how many Matches did they play in all plz answer

So what you need to do is find how many matches they played. To find that you plug the numbers into to fractions times each other.

It would be 120/x times 45/100. Then you would cross multiply to get 45x=12000

Then you would divide 12000 by 45 to get x alone

That would give you x=267

So your answer would be 267 matches played

120/x=45/100

Cross multiply:45x=12000

X=12000/45 the answer comes in decimal.

Ans: 266.666...

Rounded off because football match should be a whole number

=267 matches played in total.
